Research areas
We focus on the prevention of non-communicable diseases that come with age, which include many types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease. These diseases have a potentially devastating effect on people’s lives and a growing impact on healthcare systems and societies globally.

In addition to our own in-house discovery programs, we work together with colleagues across Janssen and Johnson & Johnson, as well as academic and industry partners. By collaborating with experts in various fields, we strive to develop solutions that ultimately will extend healthy life.

The Janssen Prevention Center is headquartered in Leiden, the Netherlands, and has laboratories, scientists and support staff in the Netherlands, the United States and the United Kingdom.
